Terms of use
1. Who we are and what we do
WattLedger is operated by to be completed (see the legal notice). It is an online marketplace where suppliers list solar panels and inverters held in their warehouses and buyers order them. WattLedger is an intermediary: each sale is a contract between the buyer and the supplier. WattLedger is not the seller, does not own the goods and does not carry them.
2. Accounts
- Accounts are for businesses acting in the course of their trade. By registering you confirm you are authorised to act for the company you name.
- Keep your password and API keys secret. Actions taken with them are treated as yours.
- Suppliers can list stock after WattLedger has verified the company and Stripe has verified the payout account.
3. Listings
- Suppliers must list only goods they hold and may lawfully sell and export, with accurate quantity, price and product data, and keep them up to date.
- Suppliers are responsible for the goods' conformity and labelling (including CE marking), for producer obligations on waste electrical equipment (WEEE, Directive 2012/19/EU) in the countries they sell into, for export control and sanctions compliance, and for ensuring no forced labour was used in the supply chain (Regulation (EU) 2024/3015).
- We may remove listings or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law.
4. Orders, prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT unless stated. Freight shown before a carrier is connected is an estimate; the supplier confirms the final shipping terms.
- Placing an order reserves the stock for 24 hours. The order is binding once paid. Payment is processed by Stripe; WattLedger never sees card details.
- The supplier issues the invoice for the goods to the buyer and handles VAT, including reverse charge for cross-border business sales within the EU.
5. Fees
Suppliers pay WattLedger a commission of 0.1% of each paid order's total, deducted automatically from the payout. Buyers pay no platform fee. WattLedger invoices its commission to the supplier.
6. Shipping, delivery and disputes
The supplier ships the goods and records the carrier and tracking reference. Risk, title and warranty follow the contract between buyer and supplier. Buyers and suppliers resolve quality and delivery disputes between themselves; WattLedger provides the order's ledger history as evidence on request.
7. Liability
WattLedger provides the marketplace as is and is not liable for the goods, for the parties' performance, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intentional or grossly negligent breach.
8. Tax reporting
As a platform operator, WattLedger may be required to report suppliers' identity and sales to the tax authority (Council Directive (EU) 2021/514, DAC7). Suppliers agree to provide the information needed for this.
9. Changes, termination and governing law
- We give at least 15 days' notice of material changes by email or in the app.
- You may close your account at any time; open orders are completed first.
- Hungarian law governs these terms; the courts of the operator's registered office have jurisdiction. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is excluded between WattLedger and its users.
